Love Actually Fanfic
The street was very quiet and deserted, unlike other Christmas.
The cold and heavy wind reflected Marc’s situation. Marc tried to conceive his reality in a cynical way. ‘This is the last. I cannot place myself in the edge of the line anymore.’
During the past couple of month, Marc was dangling everyday like something has stuck in his throat. It was love. People say love is always around us. Maybe it was true. Marc’s love was very close to him. A woman named Juliet. His head was filled up with Juliet and he was thinking about her everyday and every night, like a sixteen year old boy who fell in love for the first time.
Unfortunately Juliet was in love with Marc’s best friend, Peter. Marc couldn’t express his feelings to Juliet. Days have passed, and finally Peter and Juliet have decided to engage.
Marc was in the middle of the emotional state of love and friendship, but he did not want a battle his emotions with Peter. Marc decided to congratulate Peter sincerely. Nevertheless, loneliness and bitterness stayed deep in his heart.
In some days, bitterness in the heart can be switched and feel like a sweetness. It was a day of Christmas. Marc, thinking that this is the last chance, was holding a radio with his left hand and a large blank card with his right hand. This was not to surprise Juliet to declare Marc’s love to her, but to end Marc’s love where he started in his own way. He never wanted to shock Peter. What will happen if Peter recognizes Marc’s love towards Juliet? This was the worst case scenario.
Some people even thought Marc was a gay in the Peter and Juliet’s’ wedding.
Marc wanted to avoid a surprising show. Instead, he wished to end his love when his bitterness in his heart felt like sweetness.
Juliet opened the door when Marc finished knocking. Juliet seemed to be little surprised, but recovered and said ‘Hi’ with a weak smile on her lips. Juliet usually smiles very brightly, but Marc understood why she showed a weak smile. Marc showed his large blank card as he have prepared.

Juliet hesitated for two seconds, and uttered the words to Peter who was in the upstairs of the house. Peter shouted ‘give them a dollar or something’, sounded annoyed. Peter raised a volume of the television. When Marc heard a volume of the television was raised, he placed the radio on the ground where he was holding with his left hand. The radio played a carol. He started to turn over the page of large blank card. Marc was little nervous, with a lot of tension, and he found out the card he have brought was making Juliet to smile.

Juliet’s looked a bit chaotic.

This confession seemed to be drenching into a millions of Juliet’s DNA.
That was it.
It was the most awkward smile in his entire life.
A kiss from Juliet was in sudden when Marc was smiling awkwardly.
It was only a sudden moment.
Marc had to snap out his every emotion he had on Juliet.
He returned to his home and switched on a television. He watched two straight ‘Home and away’ series and went to sleep.
Six months later, Marc returned to his home after a long trip around the world. He sat on the sofa with a mug cup filled with a hot coffee. Although he left a trip for six months, everything seemed in his house looked all same, like his emotion which has not been changed.
Love did not pass away like he have expected. For the last six month after the Christmas event, he felt both remorse and expectancy. The ridiculous expectancy on whether Juliet might be searching for him and remorse for what he did to Peter. Emotion of love was always standing at the last.
A dusty telephone was ringing. It was almost always Marc’s mother who made a call to this house.
"Marc, how are you? I heard that you’ve just returned from the trip."
Like expected, it was Marc’s mother who is residing in Scotland.
“I’m fine mom. How are you? I’m planning to marry someone this year and make you happy from now on." Marc responded like an automatic answer machine.
The telephone connection was bad and the sound was cracking. He kept holding on the phone trying to understand what she was saying. Although he missed most of her words, he heard what he never has expected.
“Mom..Can you repeat what you just said?”
The rain started to fall outside. It was a heavy rain, raindrops sounded very loud.
“Your…(zzz)……Peter…..(zzzz)died…..funeral….(zzzz)…”
Although the telephone connection was bad, he heard the words.
Peter, death, funeral.
At that moment, Marc traced back to the moment when he made a confession of his love to Juliet. [and my wasted heart will love you]
Peter’s death was true.
It was most painful and hurtful truth.
Marc was confused about his pain whether it was because of Peter’s death or pitiful feeling towards Juliet. He did not know, and he will never know.

The maintenance men : imagined from Star Wars Episode 5
The sun at the top of sky shines to pure white snow ground. However the atmosphere is cold as the eyebrows of Nick freezes even he is in the hunger of Echo base, it is still good weather in this icy planet. Nick Orville, who is a maintenance man of rebel alliance, sweeps his eyebrow once and then reaches other hands to his tool box. Suddenly someone take his hand and said
“Now it’s better to relieve, Nick”.
Nick just replied
“Oh, Thank You Howard, but I can work more… even temperature is also better than yesterday isn’t it?”
“Yeah, better than blizzard like yesterday. But anyway you better to have a rest now…you worked nearly half a day in today.”
“But-“
“Anyway go now. It will be uncomfortable for us that good maintenance man break down”
Another maintenance man Howard Lake shakes his head and urge to Nick to have a rest. After Nick has gone, he orders to droids that follow him to inspect the X-wing star fighter. It looks Nick done good job, electronics has completely fixed by him. But unfortunately some parts are still not maintained. The surface of two main engines of X-wing is hugely burned and some parts are transformed by the heats. Howard thought it still takes hours to fix it and his eyes start looking for the parts that can be used for this star fighter because unfortunately there are no regular parts for that in this Echo base. It is true that X wing is highly efficient star fighter and outperforms the other starfighter in Galaxy Empire like TIE-Fighter. However the running cost for X Wing is also higher than the others and it means hard to supply the parts regularly. In addition to that, some skills are required to maintain this unruly. As a result, Howard needs to find a substitute of parts of X wing fighters and work harder and harder as Nick. He just walking through with droids and pick up some parts that used for Y fighter which is another types of starfighter in rebel alliance. However Howard just mutters
“It cannot use without processing” and asked for other maintenance men and droids to join to processing the parts. After a while, the parts have processed successfully but Howard noticed there are still some parts needed for fixing. He just breathes and turning to find the parts again but then he stops his foot.
“I think these parts are also capable to use, Howard.”
Nick just shows some parts carried by his droids and smiles to Howard. In contrast of that, Howard just frowns and opens his mouth seconds later.
“I asked you to have a rest, Nick. ”
“I had rest. It is enough for me, for time. “
“But-“
“I know what you want to say,”
Nick just interrupt the Howard and continue talking.
“But anyway this X wing must be in operation, that what I really thought because the number of X wing is directly linked to the total power of rebel alliance. It is quite important time like now…just hiding from Galaxy Empire”.
Howard just hears what Nick firmly said about it. It is true that there are the significant difference of military power between Galaxy Empire and Rebel Force and the efficiency of X wing starfighter to cover that difference. Furthermore, there is the more important point.
“And… I am used to this kind of works. Not only me, everyone in this base but they never give up because…”
“It is for our justice.”
Howard smile wryly to younger maintenance man and pat his shoulder and then pick up the tool on his hands.
“Within 2 to 3 day, a cargo ship came to this base to transport the materials. So the number o X wing fighters are requires to guard that ship.”
“So what we need to do is…”
“To maintain a X wing to work as much as we can”
Then they stop to talking. The hunger became silent without the sounds of tools by maintenance man and droids. The Sun was already fall, a cold long night comes to Echo base. However It is not problem for these two specialists of X wing starfighter. They do their best, they fight in their battle space, in the freezing hanger of base. They finally stop their work after the sun rise again, after one X wing starfighter has completely fixed. 3 days later, some people in Echo base are looking at the sky to just watch the transport ship. Nick and Howard are one of them.
“There are some new regular parts of X wing starfighter,”
Howard gravely muttered but his face looks smiling.
“Yes Howard. It will make our work easier.”
In contrast of that, Nick said with happier tone.
“But however, War is still continueing. That is…”
“Our Work, our fight is not end.”
They are the maintenance men but who really fight with their skills in this war.
They are maintenance men, they are worriers.

For example, there are some letters talks about the trouble caused by their droid or native animal lives in Tatooine, bantha. Furthermore, it well links to some things in original film. For example, Obi-Wan said "Negotiations will be short," as my dear mentor always said.” I think it is come from his old master Qui-Gon Zing in Star Wars episode 1. In conclusion, this author well understood and used Star Wars characters and world.

Firstly, this story criticizes about the some problems could be seen in fan fictions such as the original character who are so powerful and break the story like Rose wrote. Secondly, this story simulates the life of ordinal people who were moves to star wars world. The reaction of Rose when she has seen Coruscant city, where the main field in ep.1-3, is a significant example of it.

What I thought well in this story is Anakin could have a chance to talk with his master and friend, Obi-Wan. In the film, Anakin could not speak his secret to Obi-Wan and that is a reason of his tragedy. I am sure that he could not tell it because of some reasons but it is also true Anakin and Obi-Wan was a best friend at that moment. So this story shows the possibility that they could fix their friendship and happy ending.

Our Story Begins...
Many years ago, two young friends were playing on the beach. Ever mischievous, they began daring each other to do foolhardy things...
Max: Go on! I will watch for grown ups. Be careful when you climb on the cliff alright?
He was known for always getting into trouble. Usually urged on by his best friend. Max.
*SLIP*
Eric: Max! Help!
Max: Hold on! I will find someone.
As he hung between life and death on the cliff, Eric noticed someone looking up at him. It was a beautiful young mermaid on the ocean surface. Somehow, her gaze gave him the courage to hang on.
Max: We're coming!
Eric glanced back for one last look at the beautiful creature. Then, She was gone. The mermaid had defied King Triton's strict order to never mix with the surface dwelling folk.
Not long ago, the city of Auroqua had been destroyed by a pirate's curse. Triton, King of the undersea realm, saved as many of the Auroquans as he could. And on the way, he found two sisters named Ariel and Attina hiding from them. The King took both of them to where he was gathering survivors of the disaster.
As the sisters grew. Ariel began having remarkably vivid dreams where she could foresaw things that helped the Auroquans to avoid many disasters.The King praised Ariel and often called on her for advice. Attina felt neglected as she realized her sister's talent grew and the King favor her. She began having nightmares of terrible disaster that would always come true. The Auroquans began to feel that Attina was causing those. Eventually the King had to send Attina into exile to protect his people. Ariel couldn't do anything but seeing her only sister being cast out from Auroaqua.
In secret, the Auroquans began building a new city where they could be safe from outsiders. But Ariel's vivid dreams still came to her. And often they included the face of the young boy....And so our story begins.
A Pirate's Life...
Now older and supposedly wiser, Eric and Max have chosen the life of a pirate, rather than a good honest living as their parents had hoped...
The Black Phantom is the most terrifying ship ever to sail the five seas, whose Captain Eric, who loves everything about being a pirate and with his first mate Max, Eric's best friend from childhood.
Eric: What a splendid party! Shouldn't we paid them a visit, folks?
Crew: Aye! Captain!
Eric: If you don't mind we will be relieving you of your heavy treasures. (flashing his knife towards the guests)
Man: You fools! You should not be doing this!
Woman: You had better get away from here as soon as possible. SHE catches hold of you!
Eric: Don't worry, my pretty. My ship can out sail anything in the water. Now hand over the necklace too!
Woman: You fool! You have no idea who rules these waters!
Max: We're not scared woman . Now hurry up and hand it over.
The woman had no other choice but to do what she had told.
Woman: Once SHE hears of this, you won't see another sunset!
Without listening to any warning from the woman, Eric and his crew celebrate from the harvest they obtain today. While not far away, on Skull Island, news of Eric's raid on the wedding party arrived. The legend call her Captain Ursula. But no one dares speak her name for fear of attracting her attention.
Ursula: I will find this Black Phantom and send his crew to the bottom of the sea.
That night, Eric once more dreamed of the beautiful mermaid he had seen as a child. She rose from the waves and pleaded with Eric to leave the life of a pirate behind and abandon his ship.
Next day...
Eric: That was a very good haul yesterday my men. Let's see if we can pull off another today!
Max: Looks like the clouds is angry. We're in for a bad storm.

Max: Get to the skiff. It's our only hope. Hold them off. Then drop down and I'll catch you.
Eric: Back off, you thieves. You'll never take my ship!
However when Eric was fighting, another thief climb up the rope and whack Eric's head with a timber from above.
Eric: Uh!
Max: Oh no! Eric! I'm coming!
A bomb hit hard on the skiff.
Max: No!
Suddenly, two ugly looking eels appears on the ocean surface, and they grinned towards Max.
Max: Who are you? Stay away from me! Help!
After a long fierce battle, Eric's crew were captured.
Ursula: There is only one ruler of the five seas, and that's me, Captain Ursula. Those of you who surrender can become part of my crew and those who do not will walk the plank!
As Ursula towed the Black Phantom back to Skull Island, Eric sank deeper into the ocean.
Luckily, Ariel made in time and she found him. Quickly she put the green magic necklace upon his neck.
Ariel: I'm Ariel. The magic in this necklace will allow you to breathe under water. Your ship is captured and your crew as well. There is no place for you to go. No one to help you but me.
Eric: Then what am I to do?
Ariel: Come with me and I will show you wonders of the deep sea.
It doesn't take that long for Eric to discover the wonders of the deep sea..
Eric: What IS that? It's more splendid than the great castle of Merrydell!
Ariel: We have been building ourselves a new home. But progress is slow and we are running out of Aurotite.
Eric: Aurotite? What is that?
Ariel: Not now. We are coming into the city...Quickly! Hide under here.
A group of Auroqua soldiers was patrolling.
Ariel: It is extremely forbidden for us to mix with surface dwellers. If they find you, they will never let you return home.
Eric: Then why did you bring me here?
Ariel: I did not know what else to do..
Heading through the city cautiously, Ariel brought Eric to her room.
Ariel: The King gave me these quarters and is kind to me. But that would change if he found out I who brought you here. You can stay here until you recover.
Ariel feed Eric a bottle of light green potion.
Ariel: Drink this, It will help you to sleep and make you well.
While Eric slept, Ariel tried to think of what to do. Eventually, the King called for her, to ask if her dreams had warned of any danger. While she was gone, Eric awoke and went exploring on his own. He saw a magnificent city under construction. And a multitude of mermaids and sea-creatures going here and there.
In the midst of exploring, Eric saw a group of mermaid's were enclosing to a mermaid weapon maker.
Weapon maker: This is a sword made of Aurotite. It has a most remarkable ability to cut through water without resistance. With swords like these, New Auroqua can be defended from any invasion.
The pirate in Eric could not resist taking one of the amazing weapons for himself. He hid the dagger inside his cloth and waited in the quarters for Ariel's return.
Ariel: I brought you something to eat. How are you feeling?
Eric: Much better. Now that I'm recover, I must return to the surface and settle a battle with that fiend who stole my ship.
Ariel: You cannot go back to your life as a pirate. My dreams have never been more clear. There's is nothing but death ahead that awaits you.
Eric: I love pirating. The adventure, the treasure. She stripped it all away from me. Even if I died, I will get her pays with her life.
Ariel: *SIGH*. If that's the case, I can't let you stay here. This is no place for land dwellers in Auroqua. Come. This passage will take us to a place far outside the city.

Attina: Hello, sister.

Attina: It's been a long time. Are you no longer Triston's favourite?
Ariel: I still have my dreams, and they still help our people.
Attina: YOUR people, Ariel, not mine. I am banished, remember?
Ariel: I did not ask for the dreams to come to me, sister. What would you have me to do? Keep them to myself?
Attinal: Neither did I ask for my nightmare. They horrify me in my sleep, and my waking hours are filled with loneliness. Go back to your luxury, Ariel. It is better that we never meet again.
Ariel swam home with a heavy heart, knowing that she could do nothing more for either Eric or her sister.
While Eric returned to the surface, he hid Ariel's magic necklace in his pocket and swam toward a fishing boat he saw nearby. After hearing Eric's journey of shipwrecked and had been floating on a lifeboat for many days, they gave him a free ride to the nearby island, which is the Skull Island.
Eric went to the nearest inn and rented a small room.With nowhere else to go and no any information about the ship and the crew, Eric didn't what to do.. When suddenly he saw one of the member of his crew working in the inn.
Desperately, Eric hurried and approached him and ask him what had happen with other crews and the ship. Eric ask about Max's live and dead while the crew told him that Max was captured by some kind of sea eels. But don't know where they've taken him. After free his crew from the labour in the inn, Eric began to tell him the story of how he met Ariel and the marvelous sight of Auroqua. However, all the while someone else was listening attentively...
Ursula's henchman: Interesting...Ursula will want to know about this... So they are rebuilding eh! What fools!
Captain Ursula's most trusted henchman quickly made his way to see her.
Ursula's henchman: He said the city was a very prosperous. It sounded as if they had been building for a while...
Ursula: That fat king must be more resilient than I though..Looks like I will have to teach them another lesson!
Ursula and his henchman stayed up late, laying their plans for a new invasion of Auroaqua.
The next morning, Eric tried to gather information around Skull Island. After hours of searching, he heard that the ship seems to sailed toward north east out of the port towards a small cove of islands. With this information, Eric headed to the place. And he found the Black Phantom but is all rotten and cover with rubbish. When Eric explode inside, he found a whole bunch of new weapons! And his crew were hiding on the deepest part underneath the ship. Eric asks for Max's information, but it seems like no one saw him after the battle... Despite of that, firstly, Eric and his crew clean and fix the ship again and made their escape.
Far away under the sea, Ariel's dreams come more frequently than ever. She sees terrible dangers come to New Auroqua and she also dreams of someone she only knows as Eric's childhood friend had trapped by the sea eels in the air pocket of an undersea cave. And so Ariel returns to the surface secretly and tell Eric.
Ariel: Eric! Something terrible is going to happen to Auroqua. I've dreamed it.
Eric: Well, my best friend has vanished and I can't do anything about it...
Ariel: I know where he is. You can rescue him if I help you. But you have to promise to help me to fight for the invasion towards Auroqua.
Eric: Fine.I promise. Are you sure we can do this by our self? The sea eels are things nightmares are made of. How can we ever beat them?
Ariel: It's okay. I have a little help on its way.
Ariel whistle out a loud tune across the sea realm and Ariel's childhood pet hears his mistress's call and begins the long journey to find her. But it took way too long for it arrive, so Eric swam into the cave desperately to rescue his friend.
Ariel: Eric, No! We don't have a chance alone.
But is too late, the two see eels, Flotsam and Jetsam, swarm out and crawled all over Eric.
Eric: Back off, you ugly eels! Keep your claws off me.
Flotsam: Go back to Auroqua. You are not wanted here.
Ariel: Not until we have rescued Eric's prisoner!
Ariel managed to evade her oppenent and swam into the cave and she found Max and freed him.
Max: Quickly! We must find the potion those eels made for me to drink. It allows me to breathe under water.
When they found the potion, Ariel and Max made their way to find Eric. After a battle between the eels, they managed to escape from the claws of the eels. Remember from the dream, Ariel urged for Eric's help again.
Max: We have to help her, Eric. If she didn't rescue me, I'd still be in the clutches of those evil eels.
Eric: I know. Go back to your people, Ariel. Me and my crew will be coming shortly.
Ariel: How do I know you will come to help us?
Eric: Don't worry. You have rescued me too many times. And you helped save Max. When a pirate owes a debt, it is always repaid.
At last, Ursula and his crew had successfully invaded into New Auroqua. It seems like they could transform into another kind of mode that they could breath and move freely in water. King Triton and his tried to defend them with their newly invented weapons, but Ursula's crew was far more stronger.
On the far side of the city, Ariel and Attina also watching the battle.
Ariel: We have to help them, Attina. King Triton should have trust on what I told him. But he never listen a word from a land dweller's information. Because of this he banished me out of Auroaqua.
Attina: Are you mad? You will get yourself killed. This is their fate for banishing us. Plus even if we want to help them, there's only two of us and we don't stand any chance. Leave them be!
Eric: Have you forgotten that I promised you that I could come and help you?
Appearing in front of them, were Eric and Max and their whole crew. They each have a sip of the potion that Max stole from the sea eels. And also Ariel's pet, Flounder seems to found his mistress and were ready to help for the battle.
Ariel: See Attina, the odds are already getting better, now we have so many!
Attina: Fine. I will help out not for Auroqua but because of my sister.
Ariel: Attina..!
Max: But how are you going to fight without a sword?
Attina: I have something more powerful than the sword. (hands glow with blue light)
Ursula's pirates have nothing to combat Attina's magic. They become easy targets for Eric, Max and Ariel and other crew so also the Auroqua soldiers. When Ursula sense that the battle might lose, Ursula managed to escaped with some of her crews.
Ursula: Foolish King! You may have won this time. But nobody will never defeat me!
And Ursula managed to made her retreat above to the surface of the ocean.
After the battle, the King calls over Ariel, Attina, Eric and Max.
King Triton: I thank you Ariel and apologize for you earlier. Your quarters are yours to keep for as long as you wish.
Ariel: I thank you sire. But I will only return if Attina is given a full pardon as well.
King Triton: But of course, we all saw how Attina used her powers to help Auroqua and is welcome here anytime. As for you fellows pirate, brave Eric, the gates of the city are open to you and you crew anytime you wish to enter. You may also keep the Aurotite dagger you stole from us. May it serve you well.
Max: Captain Eric, the crew of the Black Phantom awaits your orders.
Eric: Then it's time we set off!
Ariel: You can stay, Eric. The power of the necklace will never fade. You may live in luxury forever here in Auroqua.
Eric: No, thank you, Ariel. That's no life for me. I need excitement and treasure. I will visit you when I can. But now my men need me.
Before long, Captain Eric has returned to the Black Phantom and they set sail once more toward new adventures!
This time the main character will be Prince Eric =)
Our Story Begins...
Many years ago, two young friends were playing on the beach. Ever mischievous, they began daring each other to do foolhardy things...
Max: Go on! I will watch for grown ups. Be careful when you climb on the cliff alright?
He was known for always getting into trouble. Usually urged on by his best friend. Max.

Eric: Max! Help!

As he hung between life and death on the cliff, Eric noticed someone looking up at him. It was a beautiful young mermaid on the ocean surface. Somehow, her gaze gave him the courage to hang on.
Max: We're coming!
Eric glanced back for one last look at the beautiful creature. Then, She was gone. The mermaid had defied King Triton's strict order to never mix with the surface dwelling folk.
Not long ago, the city of Auroqua had been destroyed by a pirate's curse. Triton, King of the undersea realm, saved as many of the Auroquans as he could. And on the way, he found two sisters named Ariel and Attina hiding from them. The King took both of them to where he was gathering survivors of the disaster.
As the sisters grew. Ariel began having remarkably vivid dreams where she could foresaw things that helped the Auroquans to avoid many disasters.The King praised Ariel and often called on her for advice. Attina felt neglected as she realized her sister's talent grew and the King favor her. She began having nightmares of terrible disaster that would always come true. The Auroquans began to feel that Attina was causing those. Eventually the King had to send Attina into exile to protect his people. Ariel couldn't do anything but seeing her only sister being cast out from Auroaqua.
In secret, the Auroquans began building a new city where they could be safe from outsiders. But Ariel's vivid dreams still came to her. And often they included the face of the young boy....And so our story begins.
A Pirate's Life...
Now older and supposedly wiser, Eric and Max have chosen the life of a pirate, rather than a good honest living as their parents had hoped...
The Black Phantom is the most terrifying ship ever to sail the five seas, whose Captain Eric, who loves everything about being a pirate and with his first mate Max, Eric's best friend from childhood.
Eric: What a splendid party! Shouldn't we paid them a visit, folks?
Crew: Aye! Captain!
Eric: If you don't mind we will be relieving you of your heavy treasures. (flashing his knife towards the guests)
Man: You fools! You should not be doing this!
Woman: You had better get away from here as soon as possible. SHE catches hold of you!
Eric: Don't worry, my pretty. My ship can out sail anything in the water. Now hand over the necklace too!
Woman: You fool! You have no idea who rules these waters!
Max: We're not scared woman . Now hurry up and hand it over.
The woman had no other choice but to do what she had told.
Woman: Once SHE hears of this, you won't see another sunset!
Without listening to any warning from the woman, Eric and his crew celebrate from the harvest they obtain today. While not far away, on Skull Island, news of Eric's raid on the wedding party arrived. The legend call her Captain Ursula. But no one dares speak her name for fear of attracting her attention.
Ursula: I will find this Black Phantom and send his crew to the bottom of the sea.
That night, Eric once more dreamed of the beautiful mermaid he had seen as a child. She rose from the waves and pleaded with Eric to leave the life of a pirate behind and abandon his ship.

Eric: That was a very good haul yesterday my men. Let's see if we can pull off another today!
Max: Looks like the clouds is angry. We're in for a bad storm.

Clara's Fan Fic: Step Up 2 The Break of Dawn
Note: Obviously, I don't own the characters but all rights belong to Stephanie Meyer (Twilight saga) & Jon M Chu (Step Up trilogy).
It’s cold, it smells and I’m getting hungry, thought Moose as he hunches in a dark corner of the tunnels. Almost surrendering to exhaustion, he leans against the nearest wall for support; trying to relieve his aching body from his recent brush with death. Trying to pace his heartbeat to a slower rhythm, he shut his eyes to focus and inhales through his nose then out his mouth. Taking three deep breaths, he feels the sting in his abdomen.
“Great – I think I might’ve broken a rib….or two”, he mutters as he winces.
Except for a few minor scrapes and bruises along his arms to his hands, he is relieved it isn’t too serious – battle scars are chick magnets, he muses silently. After a few minutes of self examination, he suddenly feels slightly light headed as something warm trickles down the corner of his left eye and he reaches up with his index to touch it. Seeing blotches of red on his finger, his eyes widen in shock.
“That’s not good…ugh! Vampire durability, my ass”, he gasps and with that thought he drifts further into the darkness of unconsciousness.
Emerging from the cold slimy water, Leah Clearwater launches onto the platform with a loud thud as she scans her surroundings warily for danger. Her canine senses enable her to get her bearings of her location, which she finds advantageous of being a werewolf. She realises that the battle she’s just endured separated her from her younger brother, Seth and another companion – a resident who offered to show them around the city but got involved in their vampire problem. After she shakes off the faecal infested water, she notices a faint heartbeat and follows the sound through the dark sewers. Staying clear of the rat trail along the wall, she cautiously advances toward the steady drum beat. As she draws closer, she recognises a familiar scent causing a wave of relief and curiosity as she turns left into the next tunnel; she quickly spots a rumpled figure alongside the wall.
Her vision narrows, taking in the still form sprawled before her and barely noticeable from the dim lighting several paces away. His chest slowly rising and dropping as he lay in his dark jeans and black–white flannel shirt. Leah notices that he isn't wearing his favourite cap; he must’ve lost it during the fight, she wonders. Her paws make squishy sounds as she approaches to check for fatal wounds and takes the time to look over his elven-like features. Shoulder length brown curls, now damp and strewn across his triangular shaped face and oddly enough, she tries not to dwell on the thought of his soft creamy skin. She snarls as she shakes back to reality when she smells blood. His blood. He bleeds? She wonders in confusion as she assumed vampires were almost impenetrable – even half-breeds.
Stirring awake, Moose finds a hulking dark creature standing over him, licking the wound above his left brow. He momentarily smiles at the feeling and then quickly pushes its head away.
“Thanks for the wake up…but eww, gross – just knowing you’re human under there, Leah”, he pipes as he pulls a disgusted expression.
The sight before him, is both magnificent and frightening – a light grey shaggy wolf, the size of a stallion but bulky with its sharp teeth sparkling in the dim lit tunnel. Before she can react, they both turn as loud snarls echo from the platform opposite them. Darting to his feet, Moose leaps to his left dodging the oncoming horde of vampires while the wolf lunging forward; catches a couple of limbs in her mouth, in mid-air and drops into the murky water dragging them down.
Meanwhile, Moose snarls and crouches into an attack position; gives into his vampire instincts and lashes at the closest enemy who fails to react in time. He sinks his teeth into its neck and tears a chunk with great force. He continues to dismember his prey with his hands until movement from his right causes him to jump away. He snarls again and dodges a few more blows before counter attacking with a quick somersault over the bald vampire; grabs his head and snaps his neck as he lands. Moose suddenly winces in pain as his ribs crackle under the impact and yelps as two more figures approach.
“This really sucks now”, he breathes uneasily.
Like a shadow creature, the giant wolf vaults onto the platform from the water and crushes one while biting into the second threat, ripping his head off. She then turns to the killer pinned under her and turns him into shreds with several fluid movements of her head. Her gaze then falls on a slouched Moose, leaning against a wall who smiles at her.
“I thought you’d never come up again”, he says with a worried look.
Leah just barks and dips her head in agreement. Suddenly, a loud thud lands behind her as they turn to face a howl from the giant gangly yellowish brown wolf in Leah’s view. On top of a vampire who is still moving with limbs intact, the second wolf crushes it and ruins its attempt to sneak up on Leah.
“Dang, that was loud”, Moose whines as he flinches from the howling. He continues on, “But nice save, Seth – Leah didn’t see that one coming, so she owes you”, he teases and chuckles as Leah barks at him.
Satisfied with their victory, Moose mounts the yellowish brown wolf painfully as he knows Leah wouldn’t let him near her – he’d be dangling from her mouth. He shudders silently and announces on their way out of the tunnel.
“Not bad for a hybrid vampire and werewolves who’ve only known each other for a few days, aye?” he says keeping his gaze on the exit and adds,
“After this entire workout, I’m glad it’s spring break - to recover….I’ve got dance battles to focus on”, he sighs as they stalk out into the night.

This is about the television show Firefly. The series takes place in the year 2517, on several planets and moons with a crew of thugs on a ‘Firefly’ ship which they call ‘Serenity’. ‘Lifeblood’ is about Jayne Cobb, a rough crew member who treats his guns as lovers and River Tam who is a psychic wunderkind after Jayne has been shot at while trying to save his wife, River from a group of thugs. She is upset and her brother Simon tries to comfort her while she worries. Even though in the actual tv show, these two aren’t married.
Skins is a British tv series filmed in Bristol. It follows a group of teenagers who attend high school together as they party, drink, do drugs, have sex and deal with being a teenager these days. ‘There’s Always a Choice’ is based on the series 3 and 4 cast, particularly Emily and Naomi, the lesbian couple. It is based in the future where they have broken up and seem to be applying for jobs that coincide with each other. They’re struggling to have a professional relationship after their rocky past relationship. The theme of first love and how it affects you in the future is what stands out the most.
This fanfic is about the tenth doctor, David Tennant and his companions Rose and Donna. Bloody Murder is about these characters in 1888 while Jack the Ripper is on a rampage. It’s only an introduction and one chapter so far but I believe it has potential with an interesting storyline.
The Big Bang Theory is a television sitcom about four incredibly intelligent but socially inept men and their cute, girly neighbour, Penny. This is about Sheldon, the most socially inept of them all, meeting a girl called Magenta; a friend of Penny’s. It’s four chapters on their first meeting, dancing to a Lady GaGa song, and how their relationship going to develop.
The Time Traveller’s Wife is a bestselling book which has been turned into a movie recently. In this adaptation, the plot follows Alba DeTamble, the son of the main characters in the original book, and Peter Hale, her partner. It follows how they deal with her time travelling ability she received from her father.
Vampire Academy is one of those books the twi-hards are all about, but surprisingly, it’s good. It follows the life of dhampir, Rose Hathaway and the troubles she faces in her journey to look after moroi vampires, and her best friend Lissa who she’s bonded to. In this fanfic, the author has adapted the end of the third book so that Rose and her tutor, Dimitri get together, get married and all of that that goes with a strong relationship.
The Dead Poets Society is an amazing film about a group of boys at a prep school and their English teacher who teaches them to believe in themselves. The parents of these boys are extremely strict, one in particular, Neil Perry’s father, refuses to let Neil follow his dream of being an actor and Neil ends up killing himself from the pressure. ‘Seven Days’ is about Todd following in Neil’s steps because of all the stress. It’s about the seven days leading up to this.
Uglies is the first in a series of four books written by Scott Westerfeld. It’s based somewhere in the future where everyone has a very set way of life. You’re an ‘ugly’ until you’re 16, you then go through surgery to become a ‘pretty’ and eventually become a ‘crumbly’ when you’re old. Everything is all set out, in this fanfic, the author writes about couples only having one child every 12 years to avoid over population and how Siam and Beka accidently conceive twins. In this world, the rulers decide which twin is kept and which is exiled out of the city.
True Blood is the vampire series that everyone is tuned into. It follows Sookie and her new vampire boyfriend Bill and how it affects their lives in Bon Temps. ‘Seeing Through the Mist’ is about a girl called Emelie from Sweden who ends up finding Eric Northman, the sheriff of area five and an extremely powerful and arrogant vampire. It follows her journey to and with him.
This is about the recent movie of Sherlock Holmes, it follows on from where it ended with Watson married and Holmes trying to work without him. His new accomplices are Constable Clark and Mycroft Holmes. In this fanfic they are working on a new case. It follows the troubles he faces working with new sidekicks.

Rhian's "Peeps" fanfic
I couldn’t comprehend what was happening to me. I guess because I’d never heard of this. Ever. All I knew is that everything I had once loved, Star Wars, – I was a sci-fi geek, – cleaning products, – I used to be very hygienic, - even cupcakes I now wanted to run away from. The sight of them brought about inside of me a terror which trumped any other feeling which I may have had towards them and sent me into a frenzy of screaming. There could not be enough distance between myself and those objects. I guess I’m lucky that I never really liked my apartment otherwise I probably would’ve ended up in some dodgy area like that crazy Elvis freak who fled to Spokane because of her love of New York. However my apartment soon grew dirty and grimy with my opinion of hygiene gone so it probably was as bad as that abandoned warehouse that chick had.
Oh yes, I’m a “peep”. In case you didn’t know, “peep” is the term for those which are parasite positive, which means they have the parasite and are going through the change, despising that which they once loved and turning cannibalistic, basically, I'm a vampire.

So anyway, I became a peep, though I didn't know what this meant at the time. The one night stand thing always has a way of biting you in the ass... Even though it wasn't him who gave me the infection, it was his cat. I've been told that people that did get it from their cats, just from them breathing on you and you inhaling that same space, change slower. I was scared enough when I opened my eyes to a random room, a guy I didn't remember meeting and a cat sitting on my chest staring at me. And it’s because of this that the Night Watch were able to help me sooner. They’re still doing tests.
The day Cal found me, curled in a ball in the corner of my apartment, freaking out about the possibility of the sun coming through the curtains – yeah, we can’t really handle the sunlight, I was on the verge of "peep-dom". I heard the knock on the door and my reply was a gnashing of my teeth and a growl. I could smell the human on the other side. You know you normally think 'oh I wonder who that is?', I was thinking 'how quickly can I kill it?'. I'd been having these thoughts more and more frequently, it was getting to the point where it wasn't scaring me any longer because the thirst for blood was soo strong! Cal must have heard me with his super sensitive hearing because the next moment he had barged through the door, literally through the door and was standing in front of me in a combat pose. At first I was scared and confused but my new found predator surfaced and realized that I could take this sucker. I jumped up into my own feline crouch, ready to pounce. Leaping toward him, he dodged left, but I saw the movement in time to flick my leg out and catch him on the jaw. I got a few more punches in and grappled him to the floor, my fangs aching with being so close to the kill. I reached forward, leaning towards his neck as he struggled against me. Just inches from the vein and his lifeblood pouring into my mouth, warm and thick, I groaned in anticipation. Everything fled from my mind. What I was doing, who I was. Nothing mattered apart from the thirst. A small, sharp pang in my stomach snapped me back to reality and I was tumbling to the floor, muttering apologies and still craving that sweet, sweet blood. My vision went hazy and my head grew heavy as the sedative Cal had injected me with finally knocked me unconscious.

When I woke up I was on a bed in a cell. The smell of cupcakes was wafting through my cell door and the fear I felt was instantaneous and extreme enough to render me conscious. I heard people muttering outside.
“Finally!” a woman’s voice exclaimed.
“I’d like to see you wake up from that much anaesthetic this soon, Lace,” a familiar male voice, Cal I thought.
Groggily moving, I propped myself up on my bed and looked at the door. There was a large window in the centre with two people peering in. Cal and who I presumed was Lace, were peering in, Cal looking grim and Lace looking impatient. They knocked in a polite gesture as if to presume I could stop them coming in if I so chose, and waited for a show of acknowledgement. With a small nod they opened the door and came in.
“I’m sorry it had to be like this Ella, it’s just that you were putting up a fight and I really couldn’t leave you there, not when you were changing,” Cal apologised.
“Mmmh… Iss... Fiinnee...” I said, still not having correct use of my mouth it seemed after the drugs.
Lace came forth and produced a large plate of raw meat, looking extremely envious. Presuming it was the fact that she was hungry, I asked,
“Would you like some? I’m not sure I can eat this all on my own.”
After a small pause and a glance at Cal, she sat down next to me on my bed and dived in while I idly chewed on the smallest piece on the plate. I was extremely hungry but nervousness and anaesthetic was making my body behave sluggishly slow.
“So, you’re probably wondering where you are…” Cal started.
He explained that I was at the Night Watch, a facility for those affected with the parasite which turns you into a blood-sucking fiend and by bringing me here they can try help me with this infection. It sounded easy and I didn’t really have a choice, I mean, I wasn’t gonna let myself go around killing and eating people. So after he finished reciting the brochure, he asked me if I would willingly let them start work on me. This required needles and painful tests where they shoved cleaning products in my face which they called “anathemas”. He explained all the fun we were going to have and even though I knew it had never worked before, I had to agree for fear that I might turn into a savage killer of the night.
Six months later, I could eat cupcakes and clean my new apartment that I loved and at night, I was the new recruit for the Night Watch, the one that smelled and looked and behaved like the infected and could converse with the others, so that they too could become, hopefully, like me. The first peep, peep hunter.

Author's Note: I wrote something with more action and blood but I couldn't manage to squeeze it off into something that is less than 1000 words so I had to choose different idea. So here we are, guys, something romantic so I don't expect the boys to say "love it" I still hope they would though. I'm sorry that it turned out to be a tragedy but I just got this bad habit of torturing my characters. So hope you guys enjoy and oversee my grammar mistakes. Hehe.
Because Yoon mentioned it so I add another note here. Eventhough I didn't give them a name in the short story, but I will still explained a little bit about them here. "She" is an Assassin who felt in love with "he", a Wizard. Lotos and Todes are simply there friends. I don't really know why I gave name to their friend but not the main characters themselves.

“...” Blushed, his face looked more disappointed than ever.
“But I’ll make you sweeter and sweeter.” She laughed. The laughter echoed all over the toy factory.
It was so cold out there... She stepped toward Lutie little by little, her body trembled gently in the snow. Far ahead, he stood there with his big gown and warm arms wide opened waiting for her. She rushed off, running as fast as she could, she was afraid, afraid that he would disappear, afraid that her beloved would vanish into this sorrowful white snow again. The snow faded away, so did his face... She plunged herself to him, waited for his arms to wrap around her, protecting her from the eternal cold snow of Lutie. He wasn’t there, never there. She fell down onto the white snow ground… onto the blurry white snow. Honey, do you remember? The first time we met. Lutie… so sweet but so cold.

Snow White : THE DEVIL`s TRAP

Long time ago, there was the White kingdom where the weather is always winter. A queen was beautiful woman in the kingdom. She fell in love with the king and they got married instantly. Although, they had a good relationship, the queen could not bear any children because of her secret. The secret was that she is an heir of the most famous witch`s house. It was very difficult for a witch to have a baby. As she could not fulfill this biggest responsibility, which is to have a successor for the king, she became nervous and it made her run for help of the devil. One day, she went out from a palace and she drew a circle to summon the devil.
When she finished all preparations, there was light and someone came from within the circle.
“So, what is your problem? My majesty…”
He chuckled the queen…. And then the queen said
“I want to make a deal with you… I want to have a baby.”
“A baby! ha ha…. You summoned me to have a baby?”
The demon laughed at her earnest desire.
“Right.. You are a witch… You can not give a birth as men k k.”
When he stopped laughing at her, he said what are the terms of the contract.
“I will give you a baby but you are going to lose the most important thing. Do you still want to make a deal?”
As she really wanted to have a baby and to bear a successor for the kingdom, she decided to accept the contract.
The demon said
"The contract is accomplished" And then the demon vanished
Soon after that, A baby was born. The baby had skin as white as snow, lips as red as blood, and hair as black as ebony. All the people in the kingdom were happy and blessed her.
The king named the baby “Snow White”.
The queen was anxious for her daughter because of the contract but her daughter grew up as a beautiful and the cleverest girl in the kingdom so the queen forgot her contract by sharing love with her family.
When the princess became sixteen years old, she was the most beautiful in the kingdom.
However, the people in the palace were influenced by true Snow White. Even the king has been changed violently…. Because of a strange change, the queen decided to use her magic mirror to find out a reason.
“Mirror mirror on the wall. Which thing makes us bad?”
The mirror showed ‘Snow White’ and then the devil laughed in the mirror.
“This is because of my greed. I should not have dealt with such evil creature.”
She was the only hope to stop this happening and decided to kill her daughter to save the people of the kingdom.
However, although ‘Snow White’ is the demon, she is her daughter who was born from her body.
The queen hired an assassin. She asked the assassin to bring the heart of the princess as evidence.
The assassin pretended to be a huntsman and brought the princess to the forest where no one could have returned. When he tried to kill her, she asked him letting kill herself.
However, when he let her kill herself, she just ran away from him.
Worrying about a punishment from the queen, he decided to deceive her by bringing a heart of a beast. Receiving the heart, the queen cried and apolozised her daughter.
“I am sorry…My sweet heart…”
In the forest, the demon was angry about a previous happening.
“I will be back… I will never forget this shame…..!!”
The demon hid himself to grow his power in the forest.
He gathered his servants and started to collect information through them.
Because of no response, the queen felt relief and believed the demon was killed.
Soon after that, his servants gave him information that the diplomatic corps of Gondor kingdom is visiting the kingdom and the prince was included in the corps.
Not to be detected by the queen, he decided to deceive the prince.
There was a splendid procession on a road. The prince found seven dwarves sobbing.
He asked them why they were crying. They said
“The vicious witch poisoned our princess….”
There was a glass coffin where there was the most beautiful woman. He felt anger towards the witch.
“This is not forgivable!!” He shouted himself.
“But sir, she might be cured by drinking the blood of the White kingdom`s king.”
The prince breathed a sign of relief that she can be cured.
“Don`t worry. I will bring his blood to save my princess.”
Believing what the dwarves said, he decided to attack the White kingdom….
Soon after that, there was sudden invasion from the Gondor kingdom
Being weaker than the Gondor kingdom, the White kindom was defeated instantly.
The king of the White kingdom was killed by soldiers and then the prince brought his blood to the Snow White. She thanked the prince and swore to be his bride. And then they went to the palace of White Kingdom. Changing her appearance differently, she was not recognized by other people in the White Kingdom.
As soon as she arrives the palace, she called the queen to her room. Only the queen could see Snow White`s true appearance. She yelled to her.
“You Monster!!. You ruined my life. You took my love from me….” The queen screamed out.
“I said you… You are going to lose the most important thing..... k k. Finally, I can enjoy your despair.
Your soul will be cursed by the contract. Good Bye~~”
The demon laughed at her and then he ordered his servants taking the queen to the hell.
Snow White married with the prince and then she published a certain fairy tale to her kingdom.
And yet the story describes the queen is the worst mother in the world......

The queen hired an assassin. She asked the assassin to bring the heart of the princess as evidence.
The assassin pretended to be a huntsman and brought the princess to the forest where no one could have returned. When he tried to kill her, she asked him letting kill herself.
However, when he let her kill herself, she just ran away from him.
Worrying about a punishment from the queen, he decided to deceive her by bringing a heart of a beast. Receiving the heart, the queen cried and apolozised her daughter.
“I am sorry…My sweet heart…”
In the forest, the demon was angry about a previous happening.
“I will be back… I will never forget this shame…..!!”
The demon hid himself to grow his power in the forest.
He gathered his servants and started to collect information through them.
Because of no response, the queen felt relief and believed the demon was killed.
Soon after that, his servants gave him information that the diplomatic corps of Gondor kingdom is visiting the kingdom and the prince was included in the corps.
Not to be detected by the queen, he decided to deceive the prince.
There was a splendid procession on a road. The prince found seven dwarves sobbing.
He asked them why they were crying. They said
“The vicious witch poisoned our princess….”
There was a glass coffin where there was the most beautiful woman. He felt anger towards the witch.
“This is not forgivable!!” He shouted himself.
“But sir, she might be cured by drinking the blood of the White kingdom`s king.”
The prince breathed a sign of relief that she can be cured.
“Don`t worry. I will bring his blood to save my princess.”
Believing what the dwarves said, he decided to attack the White kingdom….
Soon after that, there was sudden invasion from the Gondor kingdom
Being weaker than the Gondor kingdom, the White kindom was defeated instantly.
The king of the White kingdom was killed by soldiers and then the prince brought his blood to the Snow White. She thanked the prince and swore to be his bride. And then they went to the palace of White Kingdom. Changing her appearance differently, she was not recognized by other people in the White Kingdom.
As soon as she arrives the palace, she called the queen to her room. Only the queen could see Snow White`s true appearance. She yelled to her.
“You Monster!!. You ruined my life. You took my love from me….” The queen screamed out.
“I said you… You are going to lose the most important thing..... k k. Finally, I can enjoy your despair.
Your soul will be cursed by the contract. Good Bye~~”
The demon laughed at her and then he ordered his servants taking the queen to the hell.
Snow White married with the prince and then she published a certain fairy tale to her kingdom.
And yet the story describes the queen is the worst mother in the world......

It follows the journey of Link, who travels back and forth in time to complete his mission of restoring peace to his homeland from an oppressive warlord. The fanfic takes a glimpse behind the scenes when Link is not on a mission - when he lets his heroic facade rest and becomes a regular person in need of rest and leisure time. It focuses on his relationship with his mysterious informant (appears only after missions completed), who is really a Princess in disguise. The hero is oblivious to this fact which has not differed from the game but what is different is there are more dialogues, hints of romance and humour involved.
7) Just a Lost Girl
A funny a
ccount of life in a video game, Assassin's Creed (A.C) as it follows top assassin, Altair, in the Middle East during the Crusade period. He is part of a secret society of hitmen whose primary mission is to defeat their sworn enemy, Templars, from obtaining an ancient artifact in the Holy City. The object of desire contains supernatural powers that in the wrong hands, could cost humanity their freedom. The fanfic is told from the experience of an avid A.C gamer, Leah, who unexpectedly finds herself warped into the game world and has to keep up with the hero during missions to find a possible way back to reality. An exaggeration of the interaction between reality and the virtual world but very entertaining, set against actual events in the game.
8) Right Side of Wrong
An inter
esting idea based on the Pirates of the Caribbean saga, which presents a slight contrast between the film's narrative and the fanfic. Unlike the original, the antagonist - Davey Jones, is killed by Norrington which enables Will Turner to marry his beloved Elizabeth Swan and stay by her side. Set six years after their victorious battle against the ocean's grim reaper, the Turners and Captain Jack Sparrow become doting parents. The focus is on Jack and his journey through parenthood to a young daughter with her own destiny to fulfill - much against his wishes. Jack's iconic characteristics are not only kept intact but has also evolved to cater for his parental obligations too.
9) Pyramid Head on Trial
This is a
parody of the video game adapted film, Silent Hill. The fanfic pays homage to the original idea by including both human and non-human characters but has a comedic plot which reduces the seriousness of the horror atmosphere. The story is set in a court room where the partial focus is on the male defendant, Pyramid Head, who is on trial for his torturous methods of punishment toward a female resident. The rest of the narrative surrounds the humorous interaction between both main and minor characters in the original storyline. There is definitely a high level of exaggeration in the idea of 'community' amongst the residents, where monsters and human survivors can socialise in contrast to the depression based original.
10) Livin' in the Future
Here is a
fanfic based on the television series, Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles which follows the struggles of a mother and son to survive against a futuristic plague of robotic assassins as her son, John is the only key to the survival of the human race. The show has been discontinued after a few seasons in which this fanfic has picked up from the last episode aired so far. The story continues on from the cliff hanger scene, where John escapes an explosion in present day U.S.A as he accidentally travels through a portal to the future. His mission is to track down an android who knows too much of his present to overthrow humanity's ability to exist in the new world. However, his mysterious arrival and behaviour in a warring future only makes him more suspicious to the armed human resistance as does the people he recognises but it is only one sided. This idea is written thoughtfully in accordance with the original story as it takes on more action descriptions than in the present because of the change in situation. It also allows for the theme of family to continue but the only difference is that it is John's experience with another parent - his father.

This involves the female protagonist, Sookie Stackhouse, in her search for her vampire lover who disappeared without word during an intimate dinner together. Enter the vampiric third wheel, Eric Northman, with his offer to assist her and the sexual tension becomes a battle for her. The fanfic works well and maintains the comedic sexual undertone as in the series without too much distraction from the mystery plot.

Basically, it is about four varsity heart throbs who live together in a mansion turned boarding house. To earn a rent free year in the mansion, they strike a deal with the landlady to transform her awkward gothic niece (has seizures around attractive people) into a 'proper lady'. There is never a dull moment in the mansion for its boarders as the fanfic adds a new mystery for them to solve, like a baby on their doorstep and the hilarity that ensues as they take on the responsibility.
